Hi Steve,

First try was with usb-creator, then I followed your advice and did :

 $ cat {image}.iso > /dev/sdd && sync

A few trials were also made with :

 $ dd if={image}.iso of=/dev/sdd bs=4M && sync

I'm currently trying to identify differences b/w our own image and the
Windows  8 recovery USB drive that gets correctly recognized using the
same creation method.
