Same problem here on a Lenovo W500 with a 5300 card. I can reproduce this bug within 10 mins over and over again. Ubuntu will seem to "hang" while it's unloading / loading the kernel module(not sure about this, but it's what it seems like to me). Tried latest mainline kernel without any improvement(3.7.0-030700rc2-generic #201210201535).
