I don't think they are duplicates. As I understand it, bug #1089462 is about the dependency to libreoffice-gtk, which contains libreoffice's bridge to ATK. No libreoffice-gtk, no auto-show. This bug assumes libreoffice-gtk is installed, i.e. the prerequisite for auto-show is there, but there's a problem with the implementation.
