Hello Chris, On Hewlett Packard HP8560w notebook, I updated the BIOS to F.29 from F.26. Using the previous ubuntu 13.04 harddisk, I did a reinstallation using raring-desktop-amd64.iso dated 2013January23. The installation was successful. I did 10 times of reboot and there was no problem found. I can surf the internet. Previously no ubuntu sound upon boot up but now have already. Thanks alot.
