Public bug reported:

When I log out of a session on the Nexus 7 running up-to-date raring,
lightdm comes back in portrait mode rather than landscape (but with
touch apparently calibrated for landscape). To recover, I have to stop
and start lightdm from an ssh session to get it to autologin, then
'DISPLAY=:0 xrotate auto'.
