I have also confirmed that on Ringtail (and all latest updates) that video over USB on a second universal docking station does not work either. It looks like Displaylink support is a bit lacking in Ubuntu unfortunately.
The benefit for enterprise is great if this can be made to work since universal docks are a mainstay of the BYOD trend. To be unable to bring an ubuntu desktop to work and use the full capabilities of the hotdesk environment gives bragging rights to the Windows and Mac users.
