With totem-gstreamer they work most of the time but often I get an "Internal data flow error" (screenshot attached). When that error appears if I just click ok and then click on the play button, it works and the subtitles show up fine. That error only appears with movies that have subtitles.
With totem-xine the subtitles do not appear at all, but I also do not get that error ever. This bug happens with any .srt file. I've attached part of one file here. All you need to do is rename the file to the same name as the .avi file that you are playing and put them in the same directory. Then the subs should appear at the time intervals specified in the .srt file. So for the attached file test.srt, just put it inside a directory with a movie called test.avi or test.mpg and the subtitles should appear. -- Doesn't load external subtitles https://launchpad.net/bugs/57398 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
