Ok....getting CLOSER and CLOSER!! Did a bit more digging, searching, reading, testing!!
I am able to manually configure wvdial.conf with some settings to initialize the Dell 5530 Mobile Broadband card. I "think" I am even able to get it to talk to the AT&T Wireless network. But that's where all the joy stops. aaarrrrrgggghhhh.....
