I just tried the latest upstream kernel (3.8.0-999generic), but the problem persists. I did try kernel 3.2.0.37 when it became available through the Software Update Manager, and it booted successfully once. However, since that single success, I have not successfully booted into any kernel after 3.2.0.32 (3.2.0.32 works fine.). If the kernel version I tested (3.8.0-999) was not the correct version to test, let me know and I will try again. Thanks in advance for your help.
