Public bug reported: The folder-view widget with the installer link is not present on the desktop of the Kubuntu 12.04.2 live-cd (20130211). On both the i386 and amd64 is the folder-view widget missing from the desktop.
This is caused by plasma-desktop running upstream's init script /usr/share/kde4/apps/plasma-desktop/init/00-defaultLayout.js on first run instead of the one from kubuntu-default-settings /usr/share/kubuntu-default-settings/kde4-profile/default/share/apps/plasma-desktop/init/00-defaultLayout.js Ubuntu version: Kubuntu 12.04.2 live-cd (20130211) What is expected: On the desktop there should be a folder-view widget with a link to the installer (ubiquity).
