Public bug reported: Attempting to install Ubuntu 12.04 LST on an 8GB USB drive; the autopartition doesn't appear to create enough space to allow a successful install.
It appears as though the autopartition creates just shy of the 2.4gb required but allocates 4.5gb (ish) to /home. I can't investigate closer at this point in time as I don't have a shell or the rest of the UI. Either way, the expected behavior is that the autopartition would give itself enough room to install. :) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: ubiquity 2.10.16 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-23.36-generic-pae 3.2.14 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-23-generic-pae i686 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu5 Architecture: i386 CasperVersion: 1.315 Date: Wed Feb 13 18:30:05 2013 InstallCmdLine: file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- maybe-ubiquity LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 TERM=linux PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SourcePackage: ubiquity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 precise ubiquity-2.10.16 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1124709 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 installer doesn't autopartition correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1124709/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
