MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED: (#697) My freezes were complete. No mouse. No keyboard. No activity. No ping. Only way out was a hard boot. The freezes happened within an hour or two, sometimes less.
I loaded a fresh copy of the new 12.04.2 I guess the quantal kernel this has "fixed" things.
