I can confirm this bug on a Precise installation with the new Quantal backported kernel and xorg :
laptop:~$ uname -a Linux laptop 3.5.0-23-generic #35~precise1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 25 17:15:33 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux laptop:~$ lspci | grep VGA 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Madison [Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series] The problem occurs after resume and can be easily triggered with ctrl- alt-f1 ctrl-alt-f3 combinaison. Seems like the guys at Fedora fixed it already : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=849347#c63 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1085751 Title: [drm:radeon_cs_ioctl] *ERROR* Failed to parse relocation -35!
