Thanks for reporting this bug! First of all, since there is no actual full string, link or screenshot given it is difficult to say if this even is a bug or if it is not. Without having the context from which the translation »Gemeinschaft« comes I would say it is correct in singular not in plural since »Gemeinschaft« usually is the translation of »community« which is always translated in singular.
Also this is definitly NOT an Ubuntu bug since Linux Mint uses its own slideshow and installer.
