In further testing and discussion with the io_edgeport maintainer, I was able to confirm that this is a new Digi device with a new jUSB ID number (io_edgport supports the Digi Edgeport/4i) not supported yet. I suspect the only difference between the devices is RJ45 vs DB9 serial connectors.
