Same problem here (64 bit 12.10 3.5.0-24-generic). Copying files from a Windows 2008r2 server. I can happily copy down 1 x large 4GB iso file (and I get good copy speeds ~40MB/s) but it stalls when copying down a directory containing 216 items about 416MB.
