I had the same issue on the same hardware HP BL460C I firstly downgraded the kernel back to 3.2.0-23 and got my console working again.
Today I downloaded the last CD from ubuntu (Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS with kernel 3.5.0-24) and installed it on another blade, everything worked as expected ! Ubuntu 12.04.2 is compiled with the kernel from Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal) which a LTS kernel... but no way to get it in standard apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade So... on my server which was running kernel 3.2.0-23, I ran apt-get install linux-image-generic-lts-quantal which updated the kernel to 3.5.0-24 which makes the video console working!
