Confirmed it was the device: 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR8162 Fast Ethernet (rev 10) (at least in my case, as the original reporter have a realtek not an atheros, maybe it's something on the network stack... maybe some code that tries to keep network somewhat up for wake-on-lan?)
i disabled it in BIOS and now i can suspend/resume more than once.
