Thanks for the patch, but this will change to expected
behaviour/behavior (pick one) on a system where both LibreOffice and
Abiword are installed, because then a default Xubuntu session will open
LibreOffice by default instead of abiword even if the user doesn't want
it (imagine a multi-user system with two Xubuntu users, both sessions
would be affected).
