This is a new upstream version, as the Debian bug to update to the new upstream has stalled, the previous release is years old, and the functionality from the newest release is useful for Ubuntu. Kent has kindly tested this from my PPA (comment above). ipmitool is in universe. I've dropped only patches that are either adopted upstream or no longer needed due to upstream changes. I merged from 1.8.11-5ubuntu1; 1.8.11-5 is the latest in Debian.
