Public bug reported:

This problem affects both the standard xchat package from the main
Ubuntu repositories, and the fork Hexchat.

When I accidentally click the close button on the main chat window,
another window appears asking if I'm sure I want to quit. I click no,
and no windows are visible, and there is no icon any longer in the Unity
side bar. The only way to get the program back is to kill the process
and launch again.

I am using Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit with all the latest updates installed and
no special PPAs for Unity.

** Affects: xchat (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
