X.org crash (logout) as described not reproduced in Ubuntu 12.10 (VM, 64bit,
host: OS X 10.7):
- Unity, with overlay scrollbars enabed
- Unity, with overlay scrollbars disabled for launched application only
- Gnome, with overlay scrollbars disabled via ~/.xprofile as described
