Same story for: $ uname -r 3.8.0-12-generic Proposed workaround works, indeed I don't think this is the "Watermark" bug at all. Besides, the origin of this bug is described here: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Amd_watermark and gives much easier solution.
