It's not working for me with non vanila kernel. I can see grub's nomodeset is working (because of the shape of Ubuntu's logo) but I get a black screen when lightdm should normally be displayed. Switch to an other VT and back to lightdm display give me lightdm in about 16 colors, and a wrong ratio display. Something may be wrong with my manipulations?
