Got it to work on the laucher:

1) Created /usr/share/applications/leksah.desktop file:
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=Leksah
Comment=Haskell Integrated Development Environment
Icon=/usr/share/leksah/pics/leksah.png
Exec=leksah %U
Terminal=false
Categories=Development;IDE;Haskell;

2) found the newly created leksah Icon in Nautilus at
/usr/share/applications directory and dragged it to launcher

Now when I click this icon in the laucher the Leksah IDE comes up.
