Annoying to see that still nobody cares! It's been 5 years now with this bug with no intent to change it by the devs - I don't use rhythmbox anymore for two years now.
I cannot understand the decision by Canonical to still feature this program: it is unflexible, not lightweight in any way, buggy, not well maintained and devs don't even care to listen to their users! I will suggest in the Ubuntu boards to drop the program again and replace it with clementine or guayadeque.
