** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: update-manager
+ Opening up the terminal part of the dist-upgrade GUI, it often spills
+ over the visible size of my display (1440x900). I suggest a simple fix
+ (which actually worked at some point, but then a regression occurred) --
+ namely, when one opens up the terminal part the window can be made as
+ large as possible to fit in the visible area and re-centered.

- There are two issues with dist-ugrade which have been persistent for a
- very long time, but I hadn't gotten around to report yet.
-
- First, I like to use a smaller font size (9) in comparison to the
- default (10). In effect I changed all default fonts (Appearance->Fonts)
- to have size 9. Most applications take the hint and display correctly,
- but the terminal window in dist-upgrade does not follow suit. The font
- is visibly larger than everything else, potentially size 10 though I
- cannot tell with a bare eye.
-
- The second issue that that opening up the terminal part of the dist-
- upgrade GUI, it often spills over the visible size of my display
- (1440x900). I suggest a simple fix (which actually worked at some point,
- but then a regression occurred) -- namely, when one opens up the
- terminal part the window can be made as large as possible to fit in the
- visible area and re-centered.
+ [This report originally also covered the font size in the Details pane,
+ already reported as bug 199986.]
