I just pushed a fix for this to git. If you want to test it, simply grab the
lightdm-gtk-greeter.css file from here:
https://raw.github.com/shimmerproject/Greybird/master/gtk-3.0/apps/lightdm-gtk-greeter.css
then save it in /usr/share/themes/Greybird/gtk-3.0/apps/ and log out.
