This is all starting to sound rather complex and late in the process to be adding it, particularly since it is just a workaround for the fact that proper Qt5 support in appmenu-qt and libdbusmenu-qt packages hasn't been developed. I've very reluctant to hack the Qt4 functionality into Qt5. Qt is supposed to be ABI compatible through the life of a major version, so adding and then removing such functionality does not seem like a good idea.
