Sorry, I don't know what this "Nominate for release" thing is about. However, I do want to vote for this bug - I do have the same Problem as Jason. My USB HDD has a primary FAT32 partition, and an extended partition entry with two logical ext3 partitions. After plugging in the drive, the partitions are detected rather randomly. Sometimes, all three are mounted, but more often than not, only one or two of them are. The other symptoms are similar as well: kde-hal-device-manager does show all partitions.
