Found that this also happens to many on Feisty. I work for a computer
memory company and believe I have found, at the very least, a solid lead
to pursue. I've tried dozens of flash drives on a few separate
installations of Feisty, and have only been able to find this problem in
relation to a specific controller chip within the flash drive. It
seems to be the controller from Silicon Motion, otherwise seen as SM.

Controllers I have NOT seen this problem with include: Alcor Micro
(AU), and US Best (UT).

The SM controller seems to be the only consistent cause for this bug.
Most every flash drive manufacturer will use their controller, so I'm
willing to bet that the LG drive above an SM controller as well.
