I can confirm the same reproducible bug under Mint 14 (kernel 3.5.0-27-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP Mon Mar 25 19:58:17 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) using a Toshiba Portégé Z930 - 14L (PT235E) and BIOS Version 6.50 (11/26/2012).
