Essentially the cache of known applications/plugins/services was not updated. 
This should usually happen automatically, albiet it can take a while (not more 
than 1 minute though).
It is not uncommon with calligra. It may simply be because calligra has a 
somewhat unique way of initializing the applications, which is depending a lot 
on an up-to-date cache (most other apps having something similar are part of 
the default installation and as such do not suffer from the problem of 
outdatedness as they are all covered in the initial cache creation).

It would be best if you were to talk to the calligra devs though,
perhaps they should think about introducing a safeguard.

I don't see this getting a global safeguard for all KDE software anytime
soon unfortunately.
