Public bug reported: After Installing nvidia-319 gnome-shell stops using onboard graphics card (Intel) and only works if started with optirun (nvidia) but it will crash after some time. Purging nvidia-319 and rebooting fixes this and installing nvidia-313 doesn't disable Intel graphics.
