Th guvcview is still making bad jpeg files and good png files from the webcam. I tried a lot, but could not reproduce the crash in Xorg. I tried in the same computer both in a Lubuntu session and a Nexus 7 session running live from a USB drive (like I did when the crash occurred).
I'll attach two image files (one jpeg and one png), and a text file showing that I cannot run apport-collect 1168250, I think because of a bug in apport-collect. The text file shows the dialogue trying to install apport-collect (including update & upgrade). I hope it helps Nio ** Attachment added: "bad-apport-dump.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1168250/+attachment/3647300/+files/bad-apport-dump.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1168250 Title: [Nexus7] Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in __memcpy_ssse3_rep (from sna_video_overlay_set_port_attribute(): guvcview crashed when changing resolution of a picture To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1168250/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
