Public bug reported: After the installation reboots, "kernel panic - not syncing:IO-APIC + Timer doesn't work". Boot w/ apic=debug and send a report. Then try rebooting with the 'noapic' option. Rebooting and choosing this option allows the installation to complete. I couldn't send report and log files because I don't have a working Linux system. After installation choose 'Ubuntu' - blank screen. Restart and try 'Advanced options for Ubuntu' - This causes 'Unbutu with Linux 3.5.o-17 - generic. Loading Linux 3.5.0-17 - generic' and crashes with the same message that occurred with the 1st try at installaton. Trying ' Recovery Mode' causes 'Loading initial ram disk...' and a blank screen. Installation was from a DVD from Linus Identity Magazine. Pentium R 2.8 MZ 2GB Mem 500 MB disk - Windows XP
