In my case (Lenovo Ideapad N581 with AR8161) running Precise with latest
Quantal backported kernel, using the workaround of SUSPEND_MODULES="alx"
helps but doest not fix the issue completely. Network manager loses
control of the NIC after the first suspend and I had to resort to manage
the connection via /etc/network/interfaces.
