I have seen the very same problem on two different laptops, both with
dual VGA configs (Intel and Radeon, Intels are 8086:0106 and 8086:0166
respectively, Radeon is 1002:6840 in both cases). 3.5.0-26 works,
3.5.0-27 doesn't.

One laptop allows for disabling the Radeon in the BIOS - 3.5.0-27 works
fine then. Clearly the problem is related with dual VGAs.

Back to dual VGA in BIOS, I tried the two bisection kernels - same as
others reported already, bisect01 works, bisect02 does not.

All this is with the amd64 kernels.
