You mean the "align_image_stack" function that on a couple of almost identical pictures finds only 3 matching points? In comparison, a naive Harris Corner Detector we made at the university with Matlab is much more powerful... If you are talking about the other 4-5 tools that Hugin claims to support, none of them is in the repository.
