I discovered something that might help. Since this problem seems to occur because of a bug in the current kernel (2.6.20 in feisty), i tried to run Gusty, a newer version of Ubuntu, which I think uses the 2.6.21 kernel).
Same problem occurred, although when I ran sensors-detect I got different results. In addition the two modules "eeprom" and i2c-i801 or whatever, the script also recommended a module called "coretemp". I added it with modprobe, and for the first time, I got results with "sensors". There was only two lines, showing the temperature on both CPU cores, and it didn't help when trying to run "pwmconfig" - it still gives me this error: "There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed" . -- package: lm-sensor / sensord not working on i2c-i801 (VAIO VGN FE 11 S/H/M) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/84566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
