Thanks for continuing to work on this. I believe the touch-grab-race-condition-56578-v2 patch series so far creates a problem with mouse input. In Sugar's Paint application, I can't paint anything by moving the mouse around with the button held down.
Running xev, I can see that clicking and holding the mouse button doesn't actually trigger any events. Only when I release, ButtonPress and ButtonRelease appear in quick succession. If nobody beats me to it, I'll bisect this later this week.
