Public bug reported: Hi there,
first of all many thanks for packaging this nifty application. From what I've read it's pretty hard to compile on Linux systems so I was very glad to find it in the official repositories. There seem to some issues with the GTK UI, though. As you can see in the screenshot some UI elements such as the sliders and checkmarks don't render correctly. Looking at the CLI output I get the following errors which seem to be connected to the graphical issues: (qutemol:31588): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -5 and height 16 (qutemol:31588): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -5 and height 16 (qutemol:31588): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -5 and height 16 (qutemol:31588): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -5 and height 16 This seems to affect the sliders on the "geometry" tab only and makes it pretty hard to customize these settings. It would be great if you could take a look at what's going on. Thank you for taking the time to read this! ##Additional information## apt-cache policy qutemol qutemol: Installed: 0.4.1~cvs20081111-2 Candidate: 0.4.1~cvs20081111-2 lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS Release: 12.04 uname -r 3.5.0-28-generic - Bug appears on all tested DE's (Unity, Openbox, XFCE) - Bug does not depend on GTK theme in use (tested: Ambiance, Radiance, Clearlooks, ZonColor) ** Affects: qutemol (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Screenshot_2013-05-09_141052.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178239/+attachment/3670993/+files/Screenshot_2013-05-09_141052.png ** Description changed: Hi there, first of all many thanks for packaging this nifty application.
