Interesting note. Even with my Nautilus settings removed, after adding (just) 2GB of files (101785 items) to my "Templates" directory my Nautilus became unbearably slow to a point of becoming unresponsive.
After I moved these same files to "Documents" directory Nautilus went back to normal. I believe this was problem all along, as I would always add same files to my "Templates" directory.
