The proposed version of lightdm/plymouth did not fix the issue for me. Lightdm sometimes fails to start, see Xorg log attached. For now I had to put back the "and stopped udevtrigger" workaround into /etc/init/lightdm.conf. With that lightdm never failed to start for me.
