I have the same problem on an eeePC 1215N, Ubuntu 13.04 32 bits. I found a workaround to get maximum brightness back: sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 f4.b=ff
It resets the maximum brightness to maximum. If it does not work for you, try another PCI device (find the adress with lspci), like sudo setpci -s 00:02.1 f4.b=ff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/958389 Title: brightness not work correctly on eee pc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/958389/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
