When I changed the bug headline, I didn't fully understand the issue at hand. I have changed it now to reflect mouse wheel and touchpad two finger/edge scrolling.
Keep in mind that this behavior was changed due to the aforementioned bug #1081843. It seems we have quite a few people who want that new design which has upset quite a few people who want the original design. It's really hard to make everyone happy all the time:) I will follow up with John one last time to make sure he is aware of the mouse wheel part of this and see if there is anything to be done with this design.
