I am also experiencing it just recently. Have been using Ubuntu since 9.04. It works fine. With Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04 first it takes quite some time for Document View to show up. Most unwanted, is that it won't print more than 1 pages. Print one page, fine. Print a file with more than one page, Document Viewer collapsed or nothing happen.
