Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. We do need a little bit
more info in order to diagnose this problem. Please run the following
command in a terminal:
gsettings set com.canonical.friends debug true
And then launch friends-app and click refresh manually. Please wait a
minute or two for it to attempt the refresh. Once you're confident that
absolutely nothing has happened (consider it may be a slow internet
connection), then please attach the file ~/.cache/friends/friends.log to
this bug report. The contents of that file should make it clear what is
happening on your system.
