Public bug reported: Hi,
I have noticed a problem in update-manager and it is being there for a long time. The problem is with packages which download the content via proxy while installing. I have a proxy configured in the system and it works fine. update-manager uses proxy settings and works well too. However the packages like flashplugin-installer and ttf-mscorefonts- installer can not fetch their data while installing via update-manager. If I do the command line installation "sudo apt-get install flashplugin- installer" or "sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer" it works fine. With update manager configured to use proxy these two packages can not be installed because they can not download the content. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1186138 Title: Update Manager does not forward proxy settings to packages which download content To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/1186138/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
