Using a HP 6710b with ipw3945. I can connect to an unsecured network, but can not connect to a WPA2-Enterprise network.
Regarding Matt Donnelly's comment about 'any laptop these days can at least use a cable': not always. At my university, student laptops are only allowed to connect via wireless (and only with WPA2-Enterprise/AES/TTLS/Pap... which means no connecting with 64bit Vista either :p). ITS will not allow non-ITS managed machines to have their MAC addresses registered for wired connection. -- [Gutsy]Network Manager Applet can't connect wireless with ipw3945 driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
